Fotograf Residency is a residency project for four artists and four curators run by Fotograf07 Association and its partner institutions. Artists and curators are selected by jury upon nomination by the partner institution. Each artist or each curator comes from different country for two months or 14 days residency in Prague. Where he/she is provided accommodation and fee to live, create, research, learn and share his/her art and knowledge.
We are proud that our partner institutions are: CCA –Tbilisi (Georgia), Fundacja Sztuk Wizualnych – Krakow (Poland), Nová Cvernovka – Bratislava (Slovakia), Trafó – Budapest (Hungary)
The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
Selection of residents
On June 21, 2019, the Fotograf Residency international jury was in confrerence. Jury members were Šymon Kliman (Nová Cvernovka – Bratislava), Judit Szalipszki (Trafó – Budapest), Joanna Gorlach (Fundacja Sztuk Wizualnych – Krakow), Aleksi Sosselia (CCA – Tbilisi) and Tereza Rudolf (Fotograf). Each foreign partner presented his nominations for artists and curators. The Commission selected the following residents:
